Siberia

February 27th, 2010 at 06:00am - February 28th, 2010 at 02:00pm

now going on again

Siberia is a two day trek into the Northwest's winter wonderland. From learning to walk in snowshoes to building a snow cave, the adventures are unrivaled. Participants will meet at Garfield the morning of the first day and take a bus to an unmentionable local sno-park. Participants will build snow caves and cook food with their tent groups. Remember to pack a sack lunch for the first day and coordinate food with your tent group for the rest of the weekend. Some gear you need can be rented from Post. Participants will be dropped off at Garfield Sunday afternoon.

Note to parents: We'll be camping at the Gold Creek Sno-park at exit 53 off snoqualmie pass. Please have students make sure they arrive by 7:45 to 23rd at Garfield. Buses will leave Gold Creek on Sunday at 12: 30 so please pick up campers around 1:45 pm.

In an emergency, you can contact Jonathan Frankel at (206) 372- 4142, as he is the trip leader. Chaperones on the trip from Seattle Public Schools will be Kris McBride and Sylvia Hahn.
